Summer URSCA Program – 2024

Concordia students and mentors engaged in summer research and creative scholarship are part of a LEARNING COMMUNITY that includes skill-building workshops, online ethics and safety training, career-readiness support, networking, and social activities.

WORKSHOPS: Skill-building and career-readiness workshops for students will be held from 12:00 p.m. – 1:00 p.m. in ISC 201 on Tuesdays from 4 June through 23 July (no workshop 2 July). Students may participate virtually via Zoom if necessary.

ONLINE TRAINING: All URSCA scholars are required to complete the CITI RCR training course, plus any additional courses necessary for their specific research (e.g. chemical safety, human subjects).

PEAK: Students may earn a PEAK for their research or creative activity and URSCA program participation by completing a few additional assignments.

SOCIAL TIME: In addition to the Wednesday networking lunches, a variety of social activities will be available to students and mentors throughout the summer. Ideas and suggestions welcomed!
