URSCA Internships

The Office of URSCA manages funding to support summer undergraduate research and creative scholarship mentored by Concordia faculty or staff. Opportunities are open to all undergraduate students who will be enrolled full-time at Concordia in the subsequent fall semester and who are eligible to work in the United States.

FOR STUDENTS:

  • If you are interested in mentored summer research or creative scholarship, begin by talking with your advisor, instructors, department/program administrators, or the Director of URSCA.

  • Summer positions are paid and typically 6-10 weeks long. They may be part time or full time, and typically start in May or June, depending on the project.

  • Some paid academic-year projects are also available.

  • Students may earn credit and PEAK through their URSCA experiences.

  • To learn more, email research@cord.edu.

FOR MENTORS:

  • Faculty and staff mentors seeking support to mentor summer undergraduate students submit an application to the Office of URSCA by 17 January 2024.

  • Mentors awarded funding from the Office of URSCA will conduct their own process for selecting student co-inquirers.

  • Some departments and programs may also provide summer funding for mentoring research or creative scholarship.

  • Faculty are also encouraged to apply for institutional funding through the Centennial Scholars and Hendrickson Fine Arts Summer Study Grant. These and other professional development opportunities can be found on Cobbernet.
