URSCA Symposium (COSS) Registration and Abstract Requirements
Registration: Each student presenter must complete a brief URSCA Symposium registration form by the submission deadline of 12 March 2025. Mentors do not need to register.
Abstracts: Only one student on each project should submit the abstract.
Submitted abstracts should be informative and must include the following information within 250 words: 1) significance, framework, or problem that the topic addresses, 2) purpose, thesis, argument, or hypothesis, 3) brief research process or methods, and 4) product, results, or anticipated results.
Who can present at the URSCA Symposium?
All students are invited to submit an abstract to the symposium! Any mentored research or creative scholarship conducted by Concordia students is eligible for presentation. This includes projects conducted for classes, internships, co-curricular projects, etc. Whether you are new to research or very experienced, the symposium is for you!
What type of presentations are given at the URSCA Symposium?
Can I give more than one presentation?
Yes, students may submit abstracts for multiple projects. Each presentation will be given only once at the event.
How will I know if I am accepted?
The URSCA Symposium committee will review abstracts and let submitting authors know by 17 March whether their abstract has been accepted for presentation.
