Celebration of Student Scholarship

The Celebration of Student Scholarship (COSS) is a full-day symposium at Concordia College, showcasing student research, scholarship, and creative activity from Cobbers across all disciplines. The event includes poster and art sessions, concurrent sessions, department and program sessions, awards, prizes, and more.

Concordia welcomes presentations from all students in any discipline who have conducted mentored research, on or off campus.     

COSS 2024 will be an in-person event featuring a variety of presentation formats organized into concurrent sessions and poster sessions. Swag, prizes, COSS QUEST, and awards are all part of the COSS event!

Abstract submissions open: 31 January

Deadline to submit an abstract, register for the event, and opt into the COSS competition: 13 March

COSS acceptance notifications: 27 March

COSS Mentor of the Year Nominations due: 27 March

COSS competition video abstract due: 15 April

COSS Day: 17 April

COSS MISSION

The Celebration of Student Scholarship provides undergraduate students from all disciplines and levels of experience the opportunity to present high-quality research, scholarship, and creative works in a public venue; to connect with alumni; and to explore the intersections of research, vocation, and career preparation. COSS invites students, staff, faculty, alumni, and the broader community to engage with student presenters as they showcase their achievements through research and creative scholarship projects of all types.
