The 2025 URSCA Symposium will be on Wednesday, 9 April. The symposium is an in-person event on campus with the central hub of activity located in the Knutson Campus Center Centrum. Featuring student presenters, the URSCA Symposium includes poster sessions, art exhibitions, and concurrent sessions. Other events include department and program sessions, awards, prizes, and more. Friends, family, and the public are invited to attend.
Students of all disciplines and years are invited to submit their abstract(s) to present at the symposium. Abstracts are reviewed, then students are notified of acceptance and organized into presentation sessions. In poster sessions, students share their research on large-format printed posters or art exhibitions as visitors move throughout the space. In concurrent sessions, students deliver presentations verbally to a seated audience and may use visual aids such as Powerpoint, music clips, digital art, etc. In concurrent sessions, there are multiple rooms with presentations occurring simultaneously.
COSS 2024 marked the 15th annual URSCA Symposium at Concordia and the 11th full-day event.
Concordia welcomes presentations from all students in any discipline who have conducted mentored research, on or off campus.
COSS 2024 will be an in-person event featuring a variety of presentation formats organized into concurrent sessions and poster sessions. Swag, prizes, COSS QUEST, and awards are all part of the COSS event!

The Celebration of Student Scholarship URSCA Symposium provides undergraduate students from all disciplines and levels of experience the opportunity to present high-quality research, scholarship, and creative works in a public venue; to connect with alumni; and to explore the intersections of research, vocation, and career preparation. COSS invites students, staff, faculty, alumni, and the broader community to engage with student presenters as they showcase their achievements through research and creative scholarship of a variety of formats.
